Description
The charging connector is the small part that links the iPhone's Lightning or USB-C port to the motherboard. It allows the device to be charged and data to be transferred. This part, compatible with iPhone 15 Plus, references A3094 and A2847, is used to replace the current one when charging becomes erratic, the phone no longer charges, or the cable has to be pushed in for it to work.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect it from any power source. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, to avoid electrostatic discharge. Disconnect the battery before any work on the ribbon cables, and never puncture or bend the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using the device and do not attempt to repair it.
Once assembly is complete, check correct operation at several points: cable recognition, continuous charging and data transfer. If you have also replaced a battery, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to let the device adapt. Monitor heat during charging.
