Description
The iris scanner module Galaxy S9 Plus is an Original component that allows you to unlock the device by iris recognition. It is installed under the screen and communicates with the phone's security system to verify the user's identity. When recognition no longer works, the option no longer appears in the settings, or the phone reports an error related to biometrics, a faulty module may be the cause.
Before you begin, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools, and avoid electrostatic discharge by regularly touching an earthed metal surface. Handle the ribbon cables with care, without bending them or forcing the connectors.
Once the assembly is complete, switch the device back on and check that the screen, the sensor and the recognition function respond correctly. Register your biometric data again in the security settings. If the device overheats abnormally or the problem persists, stop the operation and check the connection of each component.
