Description
The Nintendo Switch motor is a small electromechanical actuator that makes a part of the device vibrate or rotate. Depending on the model, it is used for haptic feedback (vibration alert) or for moving certain internal mechanisms. This compatible part is designed to replace a faulty motor when the vibration is weak, absent, noisy or irregular, or when the mechanism no longer responds properly.
Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery where possible, to avoid short circuits or electrostatic discharge. Prepare a small suitable screwdriver, a plastic tool to release the clips without damaging the chassis, and a clean work surface where you can lay out the screws in the order of removal. Work at room temperature and do not force the neighbouring ribbon cables.
Once the part is fitted, power the device back on and test its operation in several situations, for example during a call or with an app that uses vibration. Also check for any abnormal noise or excessive heating. If the device has a lithium battery, never pierce or bend it, and never use a swollen battery.

- Never force the neighbouring ribbon cables during disassembly
- Test the vibration or movement before closing the device
