Description
The motherboard flex cable OnePlus 5 is a flexible cable that connects the device's motherboard to several internal components. It carries signals and power between the different parts of the circuit. When it is damaged, the device may show a range of faults: the screen no longer responds properly, certain components fail to connect, or the device behaves erratically on startup. This compatible part is designed to replace a faulty flex cable on the OnePlus 5 model.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the flex cables, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean, clear surface, wear an anti-static wristband if you have one, and avoid touching the gold contacts. Never puncture or bend the battery, and never use a device whose battery is swollen.
Once fitting is complete, check that all connectors are firmly clicked into place, then power the device back on and test each relevant function. If the battery was disconnected, carry out a few full charge cycles so the device returns to stable operation.
