Description
The keyboard flex cable KEY2 LE is a flexible circuit that connects your device's keyboard to the motherboard. It transmits the signals from each key when you press it. When it is worn, bent or damaged, some keys may stop responding, respond several times or get stuck. This compatible part lets you replace the entire cable when the keyboard no longer works properly.
Before you begin, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace, with a small suitable screwdriver and plastic tweezers to avoid scratching the chassis. Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before touching the cables. Work calmly, without forcing the connectors, and protect the components from static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Do not bend the cable and handle it by its edges.
Once assembly is complete, reconnect the battery then test each key one by one, including the most heavily used keys. If abnormal behaviour persists, reseat the connectors before drawing any conclusion. Reassemble the device without forcing the screws.
