Description
The GPS antenna cable iPhone 13 is a small flexible circuit that connects the location antenna to the rest of the device's board. It carries the signal picked up by the antenna to the geolocation module, allowing the device to determine its position for maps and navigation. When this cable is damaged, GPS may be slow, unstable or stop working altogether, while the rest of the device seems normal. It is delicate and can crack over time, from knocks or careless handling when opening the device.
Before any work, switch the device off completely, remove the battery if the design allows it, and work on a clean, well-lit surface. Use non-metal tools to release the connectors and avoid bending the cable. Take a photo of each connection before disassembly to make reassembly easier. The original part may look slightly different from this compatible part, without changing its role.
After fitting, reconnect the battery, check that each connector is firmly seated, then switch the device back on. Test the GPS outdoors, with a clear view of the sky, for a few minutes to let the location settle. If the battery was disconnected, let it charge normally and carry out a few full charge cycles.
