Description
The OnePlus 5 antenna cable is a small flexible circuit that connects the device's internal antenna to the motherboard. Depending on its design, it carries signals for the mobile network, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. When it is damaged, you often notice a loss of network, weak or intermittent reception, or a connection that drops for no apparent reason.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It does not necessarily reproduce the characteristics of the original part exactly, but it restores correct signal transmission at a lower cost. Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, dry surface. Use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch an earthed metal surface to avoid electrostatic discharge. Cables are fragile: warm adhesives gently if needed, without overheating, and do not bend the connector.
After fitting, reconnect the battery, then check mobile network reception, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in different rooms. If the battery was removed, let the device charge fully, then carry out a few full charge cycles for stable operation. A swollen or damaged battery must never be used.
