Description
This jack antenna flex cable is a spare part designed for the iPhone 4 model. It connects the device's jack socket to the motherboard and transmits the antenna signals, notably for radio reception and the headphone audio output. If these functions no longer work, for example when headphones stay silent or the radio signal is weak, this part may be the cause, provided the other causes have been ruled out.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static wrist strap if possible, and keep the screws in a small tray so they are not lost. Disconnect the small flex cables with a plastic tool, without forcing or bending them. This part is compatible: check by eye that the connectors match your model before fitting.
Once the cable is back in place, reconnect the battery, switch the device on and test the jack socket with headphones, then the reception. If the device overheats abnormally or a swollen battery appears, stop immediately and do not use it again.
