Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front module of the iPhone 15 (references A3090 and A2846). It is used for selfies, video calls and face recognition when that feature relies on this module. A damaged camera may show a blurred, black or distorted image, or stop activating in apps altogether.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before touching any flex cables. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid forcing the fragile connectors. Use suitable tools and keep the screws organised so they do not get mixed up.
After fitting, check the camera works before fully closing the device: test the camera app, video calls and face recognition. If the original part had a sensor or flex cable fault, also check the nearby components. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and do not use a phone whose battery is swollen.
