Description

This Dot Projector flex cable is a repair tool for managing the Face ID module of the iPhone 11 Pro. It connects the dot projection module to the logic board, allowing you to test and program the components of the facial recognition system. It is mainly used during an intervention on the Face ID module, when it no longer responds or facial recognition has become unusable.

The flex cable is a compatible part, made by a third party. Before any handling, check that the connector is clean and free of corrosion, and that the contacts are neither bent nor broken. Before disconnecting or reconnecting a flex cable, switch off the device and disconnect the battery to avoid any short circuit. Work on an antistatic surface and at a moderate temperature, avoiding unnecessary heating of the components.

After assembly, restart the device and check that the Face ID module is detected before fully closing the phone. Keep the current part within reach until testing is complete, in case a comparison is useful. Handle the tool with care and store it away from dust.
