Description
This compatible Dot Projector flex cable is a repair part for the Face ID sensor module of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. It connects the dot projector to the device's logic board and allows you to replace the current part when facial recognition no longer works properly.
The flex cable is supplied as a third-party manufacture, described as compatible. Before fitting, switch the device off completely, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, anti-static surface. Avoid bending the flex cable and handle it by its edges so the connectors are not damaged.
After reassembly, check that Face ID works in the settings before closing the phone completely. If recognition remains unstable, check that the connectors are properly seated and that there is no dust or dirt under the sensors.
Tips
- Disconnect the battery before touching the flex cables
- Work on a clean, anti-static surface
- Do not bend the flex cable and avoid stress on the connectors
- Check that it is properly seated before closing the device
- Test Face ID before full reassembly
