Description

This Dot Projector flex cable is a repair tool for programming the Face ID components of the iPhone XS Max. It is a compatible module made by a third party, designed for use with suitable programming equipment. It is used to transfer or adjust the data of the depth sensor and dot projector during work on the facial recognition system.

This operation is useful when the Face ID module must be replaced or realigned, for example after replacing the current screen or a neighbouring component. Without this step, facial recognition may no longer work correctly once the device is reassembled. Be careful: improper handling can make the module unusable.

Before starting, disconnect the device's battery and work in a clean, static-free environment. Check the connection of the flex cable carefully before starting programming. After assembly, check the operation of the sensor and facial recognition, and make sure the screen closes and opens without resistance.
