Description
The home button flex cable OnePlus 3 is the small flexible circuit that connects the central button of the device to the motherboard. It carries the button press and, depending on the model, also enables fingerprint recognition. This part is compatible with OnePlus 3 and referenced under numbers A3000, A3003 and A3010.
When it is faulty, the home button may stop responding, work erratically, or no longer return you to the home screen. A damaged cable can also make the fingerprint sensor inoperative. Before any work, switch off the device and disconnect the battery to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface with a suitable tool, and avoid static electricity by earthing yourself if possible.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the button several times, as well as the fingerprint sensor if your model has one. Check that no neighbouring flex cable has been bent and that the connectors are properly clicked into place. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
