Description
The internal earpiece flex cable iPhone 11 Pro Max is a small flexible circuit that connects the earpiece at the top of the screen to the rest of the motherboard. It carries the audio signal needed for calls and also helps keep the proximity sensor working properly. When it is faulty, you will often notice weak or no sound during calls, an echo, or a proximity sensor that no longer responds correctly.
Before you start, switch the phone off and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface, ideally with an anti-static mat, and avoid bending or forcing the connectors. When dismantling, use plastic tools so you do not scratch the screen or damage the neighbouring cables, and note the position of the screws.
After fitting, check the function before closing the casing completely: make a test call and check the volume, the automatic brightness and the proximity detection. If the problem persists, open the device again to check the connection of the flex cable. Keep in mind that a compatible part may show slight differences in fit compared with the original.
