Description
The display flex cable Galaxy Tab 8.9" (2011) is a flexible ribbon that connects your device's screen to the motherboard. It carries the display image and the touch signals. When it is damaged, the screen may stay black, show lines or white areas, or stop responding to touch. This compatible part (ref. P7300) replaces the faulty flex cable for a low-cost repair that you can carry out yourself.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface with a suitable screwdriver and a plastic spudger to lift the connectors without forcing them. Discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object before handling the components.
After fitting, check that the flex cable is correctly positioned and that the clips are closed before refitting the screen. Switch the device back on and test the display and touch response in several areas. If a fault persists, check the connectors again before concluding.
