Description
This microphone is a compatible spare part for the 42 mm Apple Watch Series 3. It restores the watch's voice pickup, useful for calls, voice messages and Siri commands. When sound capture is faulty or absent, this replacement can fix the problem.
Before you start, switch the watch off and work on a clean, well-lit surface. Use an anti-static tool and a workstation free of electrical charge to protect the components. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and do not heat the case more than necessary. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery: if it is swollen, do not try to keep using it.
After fitting, check the microphone by making a test call or recording a voice message. Run a few full charge cycles so the system properly recognises the components. If the sound stays weak or distorted, check that the ribbon cable is correctly positioned before going further.
