This iPad Air 5 (Cellular) flex cable is a spare part that connects the cellular section of the device to the motherboard. It carries the signals related to cellular connectivity. Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools, and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Never force the connectors and handle the flex cable by its edges. A swollen, punctured or bent battery must never be used.
After fitting, check the connectors are correctly positioned before putting the device back together. Switch it back on and check the mobile network, reception and the affected functions. If the battery was removed, it may help to carry out a few full charge cycles for stable operation.
