Description
The Galaxy J3 (J327 / 2017) jack flex cable (Microphone) is a small, flexible circuit that links the device's headphone jack to the motherboard. It carries the signal from the microphone and wired headphones, and lets you make calls, record your voice or plug in a headset. When it is worn, bent or damaged, sound can become faint, crackle, or stop passing through the microphone or wired headphones.
This part is a compatible flex cable, made by a third party. It performs the same function as the original part for the Galaxy J3 (J327 / 2017) model, but its appearance may differ slightly. Before you start, switch the device off, disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it, and work on a clean surface, ideally with an anti-static wrist strap. Use suitable tools so you do not force the connectors.
After fitting, power the device back on and test the microphone and headphones by plugging and unplugging a headset several times. Check that no neighbouring components have been moved and that the cable lies flat before closing up. If the problem persists, redo the fitting to check the connections.
