The microphone flex cable iPad 4 (2012) is a small flexible board that connects the microphone of your device to the motherboard. It carries the sound picked up by the microphone to the system, which makes calls, voice messages and audio recordings possible. When it is faulty, the person you are calling may no longer hear you, your voice may sound muffled or recordings may be silent.
