Description
The Note Pro 12.2" (2014) flex cable (ref. P905) is a small flexible circuit that connects the device's main board to the components located outside it. It carries signals and power between the different components, and its condition determines the operation of several functions. A damaged flex cable can cause intermittent faults, unstable contacts or a lack of response from certain areas of the device.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It is offered to repair the Note Pro 12.2" (2014) model at a lower cost. Before anything else, check that the reference matches your device by comparing the shape and connectors with the old flex cable. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static wrist strap if possible, to avoid any discharge onto the components.
Before refitting, disconnect the battery to avoid a short circuit when handling the connectors. Be gentle with the fine tabs, without bending or forcing the flex cable. After fitting, test the operation of each affected function before closing the device completely. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not try to puncture or bend it.
