Description
The power flex cable Galaxy Alpha is a flexible circuit that links the device's power button to the motherboard. When this button no longer responds, the device no longer switches on, or the key seems stuck, the flex cable is often the cause. This compatible part, ref. G850A, lets you replace the faulty component without touching the rest of the board.
Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, dry surface. Use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch a metal ground to avoid discharges. Do not bend the flex cable and handle it by its edges, keeping the connectors well aligned.
After fitting, reconnect the battery, check that the button works in every direction and confirm that the device starts up correctly. If the battery is swollen or shows any deformation, do not use it any more.
