Description
This power flex cable is the flexible ribbon that connects the device's power button to the motherboard. For the Optimus G, it allows you to switch the device on and off and, depending on its design, control the screen lock. When it is faulty, the button no longer responds, the device does not start or switches back on at random.
This is a compatible part, made by a third party. Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery and work on a clean surface in a temperate room. To reduce the risk of static electricity, touch an earthed metal surface regularly or wear an anti-static wrist strap. Handle the flex cable by its edges, without bending it or pulling on the cable, and remove the current part carefully.
Once the fitting is complete, reconnect the battery and check the button several times: switching on, switching off and screen lock. If the device does not react as expected, reconnect the battery and check the alignment of the flex cable before any further work.
