Description
This power / volume flex cable connects the side power and volume buttons to the motherboard of your Moto E5 Plus (XT1924 / 2018). When it is worn, folded or poorly connected, the buttons can become unresponsive, stop working altogether, or cause the screen to switch on and off unpredictably. Replacing this flex cable often restores reliable power and volume control, without touching the rest of the device.
This is a compatible part made by a third party, not an original part. It matches the US version of the Moto E5 Plus (XT1924 / 2018). Before you start, switch the device off completely, disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it, and work on a clean, dry surface. Avoid electrostatic discharge by using an anti-static wrist strap, and never force the connectors.
After fitting, check that the power and volume buttons work, then check the screen response and the general responsiveness of the device. If a lithium battery is present, do not puncture it, do not bend it, and never use a swollen battery. Once the repair is complete, run a few full charge cycles to check that everything is stable.
