Description
The power and volume flex cable is a small flexible circuit that connects the side buttons of your OnePlus 3T to the motherboard. It carries the signal when you press the power button or the volume keys. When this flex cable is faulty, the buttons can become unresponsive, respond poorly, or lock the volume at its highest or lowest level.
This part is a compatible cable, made by a third party. It lets you replace the worn part at low cost to repair your device yourself. Before you start, switch the OnePlus 3T off completely, disconnect the battery and work on a clean surface, protected from static electricity. Use suitable tools and avoid forcing the connectors.
After fitting, power the device back on and test each button several times, including both directions of the volume. Check that the screen and the other functions respond normally. If the part shows a defect on arrival, do not fit it and keep the packaging.
