Description
The power / volume flex cable is a small flexible circuit that connects the side buttons of OnePlus One to the motherboard. It carries the power on/off and volume adjustment controls. When a button stops responding, sticks or gets stuck, this part is often the cause, and replacing it restores normal use of the keys.
Reference A0001 is a compatible part, made by a third party. It replaces the current part without changing how the device works, but its appearance and finish may differ slightly. Before you start, switch off OnePlus One, disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it, and work on a clean surface. Avoid excessive heat and protect the part from static electricity by touching a metal ground before handling it.
After fitting, test each button several times, then check that the screen and volume adjustment respond correctly. If the battery was disconnected, reconnect it carefully. A swollen or damaged battery must never be used; do not puncture it or bend it.
