Description
The power and volume flex cable is a small flexible circuit that connects the side buttons of your device to the motherboard. On the V10, it lets you switch the screen on and off and adjust the volume. When these buttons stop responding, become erratic or stay stuck, this cable is often the cause, especially after a fall, exposure to moisture or normal wear.
This part is compatible, meaning it is made by a third party and not by the manufacturer. It is intended to replace the current part, without any guarantee of quality strictly identical to that of the removed part. Before dismantling, switch off the device, disconnect the battery if possible and wear an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch an earthed metal surface. Handle the cable by its edges and do not bend it sharply.
After fitting, check each button, the volume up and down, then the complete start-up of the device before closing the casing for good. If the battery swells or overheats abnormally, stop using it and never puncture it.
