Description
This headphone jack flex cable is the part that connects the headphone socket to the motherboard of your Galaxy Note 10.1" (2012) device. It detects when an audio plug is inserted, cuts the speaker and directs the sound to the headphones. When it is faulty, you often notice sound still coming from the speakers while headphones are plugged in, crackling sound, or no sound in the earphones.
This part is a compatible cable made by a third party. It can replace the current part, but its appearance and finish may differ slightly. Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery if it is accessible, and work on a clean surface with an antistatic tool. Never bend the flex cables or force the connectors.
After fitting, check the sound with and without headphones, then test the microphone if your model has one. Put the device back on charge and run a few full charge cycles to make sure it is stable. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and do not try to puncture or bend it.
