Description
The headphone jack flex cable OnePlus 6 is a flexible cable that connects the headphone jack connector to the device's main circuit. It allows wired headphones to be plugged in and detects when headphones are inserted, so that sound is directed to the jack rather than the speakers. Part reference: A6000 / A6003.
This compatible part is useful when the headphone jack no longer recognises headphones, when sound stays muted or only comes out of one side, or when a correctly inserted cable seems to have no effect. A worn or twisted flex cable can also cause crackling when the cable is moved. Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery, work on a clean surface and use an anti-static wrist strap to protect the components.
After fitting, reconnect the battery, check the jack with and without headphones, then test the sound in both channels. A swollen battery must never be used; do not puncture or bend it. Avoid excessive heat during the repair.
