Description
This jack socket flex cable for Pixel 4a is a compatible replacement part for the flex cable that carries the headphone jack and the device's audio connector. It links the jack socket to the motherboard, allowing you to plug in earphones or a wired headset. When the current part is worn, cracked or poorly connected, the sound may be faint, crackle, come through only one side, or fail to start as soon as a cable is inserted.
Before you begin, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery before touching any flex cables. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and keep the small screws in a container. Note the position of each connector before detaching it, and handle the flex cable by its edges without bending it.
After fitting, reconnect the battery, switch the device on and test the sound with a wired headset, checking both channels. Insert and remove the connector several times. If the result is not what you expect, check that the flex cable is properly clicked into place.
