Description
The headphone jack flex cable for V10 is a flexible cable that connects the headphone jack connector to the device's motherboard. It carries the audio signal to wired headphones and detects whether headphones are plugged in. When this part is faulty, you often notice sound cutting out, audio coming through only one side, or a phone that keeps playing sound through the speaker even when headphones are connected.
This flex cable is a compatible part made by a third party. It can replace the current part, but it does not necessarily match the exact characteristics of the current part. Before fitting, switch the device off, remove the battery if the cable is accessible and work on a clean surface, protected from static electricity. Use suitable tools to avoid forcing the fragile connectors.
Once reassembled, check operation with several wired headphones: test sound, microphone and headphone detection. If the device overheats abnormally or a battery appears swollen, stop immediately and do not use it.
