This menu back flex cable is a replacement part for the Galaxy A5 (A520 / 2017) device. It connects the motherboard to the menu navigation buttons, in particular the back button and the quick-access keys. When it is faulty, the back button may stop responding, respond with a delay, or work only intermittently. The menu sometimes also fails to open properly when navigating.

Before you start, switch the device off completely, disconnect the battery where the design allows it, and work on a clean surface. Avoid electrostatic discharge by earthing yourself, and handle the cable by its edges without bending it.
