Description
This Galaxy Tab 8.9" (2011) flex cable is a flexible ribbon that connects the device's motherboard to some of its components. It carries signals and power between the internal parts. Depending on its location, it may be linked to faults such as intermittent contacts, some functions not responding or an unstable connection when the cable is slightly moved. This P7300 reference is a compatible part made by a third party: it is not an original manufacturer part.
Before starting, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery, as flex cables must never be disconnected while powered. Work on a clean surface with suitable tools, and touch an earthed metal part to discharge static electricity. Disconnect the connectors carefully, without forcing or bending the cable, and note the position of each component to make reassembly easier.
After fitting, check that the flex cable is properly clicked in and that the connectors are clean and firmly seated. Power the device back on and test the affected functions before fully closing the casing. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not puncture it.
