Description
The volume flex cable OnePlus 6 is a small flexible circuit that connects the volume buttons to the rest of the device's board. When it wears out, peels off or cracks, the volume buttons may stop responding, respond poorly or only work in one direction. This part is a compatible replacement made by a third-party manufacturer, designed to take over the function of the current part on the model indicated (ref. A6000 / A6003).
Before you start, switch the device off and disconnect the battery where the design allows, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean, flat surface, using a plastic spudger and a suitable screwdriver. Handle the flex by its edges, with clean hands, and protect it from static electricity. Do not bend the flex and never force the connectors.
After fitting, check that both volume buttons respond clearly in both directions before closing the casing. Also check that the phone does not overheat abnormally. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not puncture it.
