Description
This steel plate attaches to the back of the LCD screen of the iPhone 7 Plus model. It acts as a rigid support and helps keep the panel flat within the chassis. Once in place, it limits the bending and stress that can damage the screen or its connections over repeated handling. It is offered in a compatible version, made by a third party, for a lower-cost repair.
Before you start, switch off the device, remove the battery and work on a clean, flat surface. Use suitable tools without forcing anything, and protect yourself from static electricity with an anti-static wrist strap or by regularly touching a metal earth. Keep a small tray at hand to sort the screws by position.
After fitting, check that the plate touches no component and that the screen lines up correctly in the chassis. Before closing, test the display and touch function without over-tightening the screws. If the battery has been handled, do not puncture or bend it, and never use a swollen battery.
