Description
The power delivery IC iPhone 15 Pro Max is an integrated circuit that manages the fast charging of the device. It communicates with the charger and the battery to regulate voltage and current, which protects the battery and the motherboard while charging. When it is faulty, the device may stop charging, charge very slowly, overheat abnormally while charging or switch off unexpectedly.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It is designed to replace the current component on a iPhone 15 Pro Max without modifying the rest of the board. Before you start, switch off the device, unplug it from any charger and use a moderate heat station to limit heating of the neighbouring components. Check the orientation of the circuit and the cleanliness of the tracks before soldering.
After fitting, connect your usual charger and monitor the temperature during the first charges. A lithium battery must never be punctured, bent or used if it is swollen. Carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to check correct operation, then test charging with different cables.
