Description
This audio chip is an electronic component that manages the sound of your device. It is referenced CS40L25 and corresponds to the US version. It is compatible with the Galaxy S20 Ultra model, where it can replace the current part when it is faulty. The faults it can fix mainly concern a loss or degradation of sound, such as a speaker that no longer works properly, crackling or missing sound, depending on your device's symptoms.
Before you start, switch off your Galaxy S20 Ultra completely and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Work on a clean, flat surface away from moisture, and use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch an earthed metal surface to avoid electrostatic discharge. Take the time to correctly identify the current part to be replaced and note the orientation of the components.
After fitting, check that the sound works properly before fully closing the device. If your battery was disconnected, carry out a few full charging cycles so the device regains stable operation. In case of abnormal heat or unusual behaviour, stop using the device immediately.
