Description
The WCD9310 audio IC is an integrated circuit that manages the sound of your device. It converts digital signals into audio that the speakers, earpiece and microphone can use. This compatible part is designed for the Galaxy S4 model and can replace the current component when it is faulty.
A faulty audio IC often shows up as missing or distorted sound, crackling, calls cutting out, or a headphone jack that no longer works properly. Before any work, switch the device off, disconnect the battery and work on a clean surface. Use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch a metal earth to avoid electrostatic discharge, which can damage components.
Once the fitting is complete, reconnect the battery, switch the device on and test every audio function: speakers, earpiece, microphone and headphone jack. If the battery is swollen, do not use it. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery.
