The iPhone 6 Plus audio IC is an integrated circuit that manages the sound of the device: it converts digital signals into sound for the speaker, the microphone and the jack or audio connectors. This compatible part is designed to replace a faulty audio IC on a device of model iPhone 6 Plus.
A failed audio IC usually shows up as no sound, distorted, crackling or weak sound, or a microphone that no longer works. Before any disassembly, switch off the device, disconnect the battery where possible and work on a clean, anti-static surface. Heat the area gently with hot air at a moderate temperature so as not to damage neighbouring components, and avoid touching the copper tracks with your fingers.
After fitting, check the speaker, microphone and audio output before closing the device. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
