Description
The power IC Galaxy Note 10 Plus (ref. PM8150) is an electronic component that manages and regulates the energy in the device. It helps distribute current from the battery to the circuits of the motherboard. When it fails, you may experience charging difficulties, a device that no longer starts, or unexpected shutdowns. This compatible part, made by a third-party manufacturer, replaces the current component on the Galaxy Note 10 Plus model.
Before any work, switch off the device, unplug the charger and remove the battery where possible. Work on a clean, dry surface, wearing an anti-static wrist strap. Set your soldering station to a moderate temperature so you do not damage the neighbouring tracks, and check the alignment of the chip before soldering.
After fitting, inspect the solder joints with a magnifier and make sure there is no short circuit. Then reconnect the power and observe how the device behaves. If a battery is involved, carry out several full charge cycles. A swollen or damaged battery must never be used.
