Description
The power supply IC Galaxy Note 4 (ref. PMA8084) is an electronic component responsible for distributing power to the different parts of the device. When it fails, you may notice a device that no longer starts, switches off for no reason, no longer charges properly or overheats abnormally. This part is offered in a compatible version, made by a third party, and can replace the current component on a Galaxy Note 4.
Before any work, switch off the device, unplug the charger and, if possible, disconnect the battery. Work on a clean, antistatic surface, with an earthing wrist strap if you have one, and a suitable soldering tip. Avoid excessive heat on the board and never force the tracks.
After fitting, carefully check the solder joints with a magnifier and make sure there is no short circuit. Reconnect the power supply then check the output voltage before putting the device back into service. If the battery is swollen, do not use it.
