Description
The power IC, also called the power management circuit, is an electronic component placed on the device's motherboard. For the iPhone 13 Pro Max, it regulates the voltage sent to the various components and distributes the current coming from the battery or charger. When it fails, the device may no longer start, switch off for no reason, charge properly, or overheat abnormally. This type of fault is often diagnosed after other possible causes have been ruled out.
The part offered is a compatible reference, made by a third party. It replaces the current component once that one has been carefully removed with a soldering station or a suitable desoldering tool. Before any work, unplug the device, remove the battery if possible and work on an anti-static mat. Check the tracks and pads under a magnifier, then clean them with flux and desoldering braid.
After fitting, inspect the solder joints and check for any short circuit before reconnecting the power supply. Switch the device on gradually and monitor its temperature. For the battery, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to check that charging remains stable.
