Description
The power supply IC is an electronic component found on the motherboard of many devices. It manages the distribution of current between the battery, the board and the various circuits. On a iPhone 13 Pro, a fault in this IC can result in a device that no longer switches on, switches off at random or no longer charges properly. Reference 343S00511 is offered in a compatible version, made by a third-party manufacturer. It is an economical solution for replacing the faulty component.
Before any work, switch off the device, unplug the charger and remove the battery if the design allows it. Use a suitable soldering station, a hot air station at a moderate temperature and antistatic tweezers to limit the risks to the components. Check carefully the orientation of the IC and the quality of the pads before soldering. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and do not use a swollen battery.
After fitting, visually check that there is no short circuit and no overflowing solder. Power the device back on gradually, without forcing it, then monitor heating and charging over several cycles before normal use.
