Description
The power IC iPhone 17 Pro Max (ref. 7100A) is a small integrated circuit responsible for managing the distribution of electrical current inside the device. It regulates the voltage sent to the various components of the motherboard and contributes to charging the battery. When it fails, you may notice symptoms such as a device that no longer switches on, unexpected restarts, charging that no longer works properly, or abnormal overheating.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It is offered as an affordable alternative for a do-it-yourself repair. Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, dry surface. Use an antistatic wrist strap or regularly touch a grounded metal surface to avoid electrostatic discharge. Moderate heat is enough to desolder the old component; never force it.
After fitting, carefully check that there is no short circuit and no solder bridge. Reconnect the battery, then carry out a few full charging cycles to let the system recalibrate. If the battery is swollen, do not use it, do not puncture it and do not bend it.
