Description
The STB605A11 power supply IC is an electronic component found on the motherboard of the iPhone 17 Pro. It manages the distribution of power to the device's various circuits. When it fails, you may notice a device that no longer switches on, turns off at random, overheats abnormally or no longer charges properly. This type of fault is generally diagnosed with a multimeter and a laboratory power supply, and replacement requires good soldering skills.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It may show slight differences in appearance or behaviour compared with the current part. Before any disassembly, disconnect the device and remove the battery, as a lithium battery must never be punctured or bent. If the battery is swollen, stop using it. Work on an anti-static surface, with moderate heat, and protect the ribbon cables from any strain.
After fitting, check the power supply before closing the device, then carry out several full charge cycles to test the stability of the system. Inspect the solder joints with a magnifier to spot a short circuit or a cold joint.
