Description
The charging IC is a small integrated circuit located on the motherboard of your Galaxy S20+. It manages the incoming current from the charging connector and regulates the voltage sent to the battery. When it fails, the device may no longer charge, charge very slowly or switch off suddenly even though the battery is not empty.
This part is a compatible charging IC for Galaxy S20+, made by a third party. It is offered as an economical alternative for a do-it-yourself repair. Before disassembly, switch off the device, unplug the charger and work on a clean, static-free surface. Do not drill or bend the lithium battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen. Keep the heat moderate throughout the procedure.
After fitting, check that all connectors are properly clipped in and that the ribbon cable is correctly positioned before powering the device back on. Then connect the charger and let the device complete several full charge cycles to check the stability of the system. Monitor the temperature: abnormal heat should prompt you to cut the power supply immediately.
