Description
The charging IC is a small integrated circuit that manages the battery supply when the device is plugged into the mains. It regulates current and voltage to charge the battery safely. This part is a compatible version, made by a third-party manufacturer. It allows you to replace the current component on a iPhone 13 mini at a reduced cost. Before you start, switch the device off, disconnect the battery and work on a clean surface, away from static electricity. Use a suitable soldering iron at a moderate temperature so as not to damage the neighbouring tracks. Check that the reference matches before fitting.
After replacement, carefully inspect the solder joints under a magnifier and make sure there is no short circuit. Reconnect the battery, then run several full charging cycles to check correct operation. If the battery heats up abnormally or swells, stop immediately and do not use it any further.
