Description
The charging IC is a small integrated circuit that manages the power supplied to the battery when the device is plugged into the mains. It regulates the current and voltage sent to the battery, allowing your iPhone 14 Plus to charge correctly and safely. When it is faulty, the device may stop charging, charge very slowly, or switch off even though the battery is not empty. This compatible part, reference 338S00839, is designed to replace a faulty charging IC on a iPhone 14 Plus.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery. Work on a clean, flat surface at room temperature, and use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch an earthed metal surface to avoid electrostatic discharges that can destroy components. Do not puncture, bend or heat the lithium battery. If it is swollen, do not use it and do not attempt to dismantle it.
After reassembly, connect the device to a charger and check that the charging icon appears and that charging continues normally. For a battery, let it go through several full charge and discharge cycles so that it regains stable operation.
