Description
The charging IC iPhone 16 (ref. 338S00843) is an electronic component that manages battery power when the device is plugged into the mains. It regulates the current and voltage sent to the battery so that it charges safely. When it fails, the device may stop charging, charge very slowly, switch off suddenly or overheat at the socket. This compatible part is offered to repair these faults on the iPhone 16, without targeting other devices.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean, anti-static surface, with suitable tools and fine tweezers for handling the small components. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and do not use a swollen battery. Handle the chip carefully and avoid excessive heat when desoldering or fitting it.
Once the part is installed, check its alignment and that there are no stray solder bridges before powering the device back on. Carry out several full charge cycles to check correct operation, monitoring the device's temperature while it charges.
