Description
The charging IC is a small electronic circuit that manages power supply to the battery when the device is plugged into the mains. It regulates current and voltage so the battery charges steadily and without overheating. When it fails, the device may stop charging, charge very slowly, or switch off unexpectedly when the cable is connected.
This part is a compatible version made by a third party, designed for the iPhone 17 Pro model. It should be soldered carefully, following the schematic of your device if you have one. Prepare a clean, well-lit workspace protected from static electricity, and always disconnect the battery before working on the board. Keep moderate heat while desoldering so you do not damage the neighbouring tracks, then remove the current part with care.
After fitting, check charging with a cable and charger in good condition, then let the device run several full charge and discharge cycles to check its stability. Do not puncture or bend the lithium battery, and never use a swollen cell.
