Description
The U3300 charging IC is an integrated circuit that manages the battery power supply when the device is plugged into the mains. It regulates the current and voltage sent to the iPhone X battery, so that it charges gradually and safely. When it is faulty, the device may no longer charge, charge very slowly, or fail to start after being plugged in.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third-party manufacturer. It has been designed to perform the same function on the iPhone X, but its behaviour may differ slightly from the original part. Before starting, switch off the device, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, dry surface, with an anti-static wrist strap if possible. A soldering iron at a moderate temperature and a magnifying glass make this type of component easier to work on.
After fitting, reconnect the battery, then carry out at least two or three complete charge and discharge cycles before judging the result. Watch the phone's temperature while charging: an abnormally high temperature should prompt you to stop immediately. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery, and do not use a swollen battery.
